A Formal Mapping between UML Static Models and Algebraic Specifications
نویسنده
چکیده
There are several reasons to specify UML models in a formal way The most important are to avoid inconsistencies and ambiguities and to do verification and forecasting of system properties. In this paper we propose a systematic approach to transform UML static models into algebraic specifications. We define the GSBL algebraic language to cope with concepts of UML. Firstly, we give a formal description for UML static models using GSBL. Then, we describe how to translate UML constructs to GSBL constructs. In particular, we show how to transform UML relations into GSBL. We propose a system of transformation rules to translate OCL constraints to GSBL.

A Systematic Approach to Transform UML Static Models to Object-Oriented Code
Formal and semi-formal techniques can play complementary roles in objectoriented software development. The purpose of this chapter is to present a reusebased rigorous method to forward engineering UML static models. This approach is based on the integration of semi-formal notations in UML with the algebraic style. The main contributions of this chapter are the definition of the GSBLoo algebraic...
متن کاملMapping Sequence diagram in Fuzzy UML to Fuzzy Petri Net
This ability in fuzzy UML, practically leaves the customers and market’s need without response in this important and vital area. Here, the available sequence diagrams in fuzzy UML will map into fuzzy Petri net. However, the formal models ability will be added to the Semi-formal fuzzy UML. This formalization will add the automatic processing ability to the Semi-formal fuzzy UML. Further more, t...
متن کاملA Formal Mapping between UML Models and Object-Z Specifications
This paper provides a precise and descriptive semantics for core modeling concepts in Object-Z and a formal description for UML class constructs. Given the formal descriptions, it also provides a formal semantic mapping between the modeling constructs of the two languages.
متن کاملMapping UML Models incorporating OCL Constraints into Object-Z
Focusing on object-oriented designs, this paper proposes a mapping for translating systems modelled in the Unified Modelling Language (UML) incorporating Object Constraint Language (OCL) constraints into formal software specifications in Object-Z. Joint treatment of semi-formal model constructs and constraints within a single translation framework and conversion tool is novel, and leads to the ...
متن کاملApplying Model Checking to Concurrent UML Models
We present, in this paper, a framework supporting a formal verification of concurrent UML models using the Maude language. We consider both static and dynamic features of concurrent object-oriented systems. We focus on UML class, state and communication diagrams. The formal and object-oriented language Maude, based on rewriting logic, supports formal specification and programming of concurrent ...
